About Nicola

Nicola is a director, writer and stage manager based in Glasgow. Her directing credits include The Homecoming (Govanhill Theatre), A Bench at the Edge (CROSSFADE/Govanhill Baths) & Merryland (Gilmorehill).

Assistant Director credits include Edwin Morgan’s Dreams & Other Nightmares (Tron), Sunset Song (Sell A Door) and Colquhoun & MacBryde (Tron).

Other credits include White Gold (Iron Oxide), Three Little Pigs (Platform), Within the Shadows (Rusty Boat), The Pitchfork Disney (Heroes Theatre) and An Audience with Marco Polo (Kevin Carr/Arches Live).

She is co-founder and creative director of the emerging theatre company CROSSFADE  who specialise in staging small-scale productions of original work and contemporary texts, in particular pieces that highlights issues related to mental health.

Nicola studied at the University of Glasgow, graduating from the MLitt in Theatre Studies programme in 2014. She is a current member of the Tron 100 Club, the Traverse Director’s Programme and the Scottish Society of Playwrights.
