“If the dead could speak they’d tell you: Live, boys – don’t just survive. For you’ll be a long time deid!”

Set in post war 1940’s Glasgow, Merryland tells the story of the McGregor family, who ground down by a life of destitution, take drastic measures to change their fortunes, hatching a unique plot to escape their poverty stricken lives. Dramatic but humorous, it takes the audience on a journey of what life was like for working class families at that time. It highlights the importance of family, the struggles they faced and the spirit of the community.
